I am a freelance writer based in Brooklyn, New York. I am also a voracious consumer of both "good" and "super trashy" TV, a party planner, an Icelandophile, a checker outer of new restaurants, deliverer of one liners, and mom to a crazy toddler.
In addition to writing the occasional magazine article or blog piece, I work as a copywriter and creative consultant for advertising and branding projects.
My services include long and short form copywriting, idea generation for tag lines and branding directions, press releases, company newsletters and web copy, pitch writing for client presentations, and more. Recent clients include Google, Procter and Gamble and Sydney Festival.
I also have a good deal of experience as a film festival director and film programmer. I ran the CMJ FilmFest in 2005 and 2006, and later helmed the Brooklyn Arts Council's Scene: Brooklyn screening series from 2009-2011. In 2006, I co-founded a short film and music video screening series called Package Deals, which screened at cinemas, festivals and museums in over twenty cities worldwide. I also acted as a film programmer and event producer for the Icelandic Consulate's Taste of Iceland events for seven years, exposing audiences all over North America to Icelandic film and culture.
